The basic usage of the plastic molding machine cleaning agent "Selpurge" involves repeated lightweight injection operations. When cleaning the cylinder/screw of the injection molding machine, please set the molding conditions and repeat the weighing and injection after finishing the molding of the preceding resin. After purging, change to the molding conditions for the next material, and once the temperature stabilizes, discharge the Selpurge with the next material. Especially in hot runners, please select a grade suitable for the resin you are using to prevent the residue of purge agents in dead spaces. "Cell Purge," in addition to its good compatibility, significantly contributes to self-extraction through surfactants. Surfactants increase the contact angle θ when discharging the front material, making it easier to discharge, and then play a role in facilitating the discharge of the Cell Purge itself when replacing it with the back material. In other words, surfactants exist at the interface between the Cell Purge and the metal surfaces of the cylinder/screw, allowing the Cell Purge to slide along the cylinder/screw surface. Introduction of a case where color change in foamed PP molding using hot runner molds was adopted.

At Ube Industries, Ltd., we conducted a cleaning evaluation of "Cell Purge NX-P2" for color change in foam PP molding using hot runner molds. We continuously molded "Cell Purge NX-P2" directly from the previous material and then continued molding the subsequent material. The previous material was sufficiently discharged after 15 shots, and the replacement to the next material was completed in just 4 shots. No touch-up processing was needed at all during the molding of the next material. The cleaning of hot runners, which has traditionally been very difficult, can be carried out very easily using Cell Purge NX, specifically the hot runner type. We encourage you to consider the Cell Purge NX series for improving the efficiency of color change processes during molding. Remove carbonized foreign matter with fiberglass-reinforced cell purge! Combining it with "NX-VN" is also recommended.

We handle 'Cell Purge', which is suitable for cleaning injection molding machines and extruders. The 'Cell Purge' with GF (glass fiber) removes carbonized foreign matter. Melted resin will carbonize if it comes into contact with air or is left heated for a long time.
